Client: Ministry of Defence
Location: Belgravia Square, London
Seaford House, located in one of the most prestigious and iconic areas of central London.
IDCC Services Limited was appointed to undertake both internal and external decoration as part of a key maintenance programme for the Ministry of Defence, in line with the Crown Estate’s precise attention to detail.
The project compromised the redecoration of ornate detailing in the public rooms, including the application of new gold leaf details and the introduction of a custom ornate desk to the main entrance hall. External decoration was also undertaken to all elevations of the building, in keeping with the surrounding area and to the true original colours, as agreed by our clients and the Crown Estate.
- The completion of project within the target date
- To maintain the existing functional operation of the building
- Other key targets have been excluded due to the Official Secrets Act 1989
The Seaford House project was delivered on time and on budget, and has achieved recognition by the Crown Estate and the Ministry of Defence for the quality finishes throughout.
Further to this, the management of the project maintained the function and use of the building without compromising on quality, and the external decoration was achieved under both difficult operational requirements and tricky weather conditions.
