Project Outline

Client:   Various Borough Councils
Location:   London & Home Counties
Value: £1,000 – £30,000

Working with occupational health professionals for a number of London Boroughs, including the surrounding Home Counties. IDCC work closely with the appointed health therapists to ensure that all requirements for the tenants, due to the their disabilities, are met.

IDCC’s deadlines are to complete the aids and adaptations works within the time frame. IDCC installs level access showers with Digipumps, new Altro flooring, showers, shower seats and grab rails. IDCC also installs bespoke sliding doors for wheelchair access, along with full decoration to the tenants’ specifications, while always maintaining DDA Building Regulation compliance.

To help aid the tenants’ understanding of the finished article, IDCC uses a 3D computer-aided design of the bathrooms to show the finished effect. This enables the tenants to understand the layout and also make adjustments to the aesthetic design, which ultimately builds better relationships with all parties and ensures that the new wet rooms meet all the necessary requirements.

As well as wet room projects, IDCC also specialise in DDA kitchen adaptations. IDCC offers a bespoke disabled-friendly kitchen design and construction service, dependent on the end user’s special needs and requirements. This can also incorporate features in the design to meet the needs of both the disabled person and the Ambulance Service, as an affordable and cost-effective solution.

Key Targets

  • To ensure that all measurements specified by the occupational therapist are met; update clients and tenants on daily basis.
  • To complete all works within the agreed programme in order to minimise disruption to the tenant.
